It's been some time since I've posted due to our recent trip, so thought I'd start off with a nice, soft-sell promotional video from Tanzanian African Safaris. This video has some good information, but more importantly some beautiful photos of this part of eastern Africa, notably Tanzania, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, as well as a section on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. This would certainly motivate anyone to visit!

This is the third and final installment of this video that follows a Canadian couple summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and like the two previous episodes, is very honest and graphic in the difficulty they face. You can see how difficult the trek has been for him, while she has generally been better prepared physically. Of course the highlight is the long surge towards the peak, and watching daylight break over this part of Africa.
